Re: Drama of Being an Auditor
Knowing that I have nothing to do for today, its a good start to understand more on the future clients I will be facing with. A good thing though is that one client I am doing focuses on cotton seeds farming. It would be very easy for me to understand the conversion process before it becomes an industrial product . The other one is a Financial Services client. I have to force myself to learn AASB 1023 and AIFRS 4, which I don't excactly have a knowledge of. As I was browsing these standards, its not that bad after all. But based on my years of doing the audit. Even if you know the accounting part, 90% of the skill needed to execute an audit still comes from experience with the industry.
Does this mean that I am going to face the same fate as my friend had just recently experienced? Would I be able to cope up knowing that I am from a totally different line of industry and the team is all from Financial Services division. As I have learned, I'll be working with a staff who doesn't seem to know anything but criticise her senior. It would be one hell of a time finishing the job.
But too much worries would just waste my office bum life. I guess it would be better off if Iet myself enjoy doing the best skill I have especially when I was still in SGV–to pretend that I am busy working when I am just killing my time 'til 1715H comes.

lonesome sunday
It's almost 1pm and have yet to do my laundry, go grocery shopping, go to mass and work a bit. I just hate me for promising my manager to accomplish it before Monday. In the first place, why would I torture myself? Self-gratification my ass! I know FF-mode should have been left in my previous office.
Now as I was going home from Ghie's place, I realised how fun it is to hang-out with them. And a sad reality is that I have to go back to my apartment where its a different zone. Interaction is no where to be found. So I just decided to lie down, invest in making my tummy look bigger and just bum around.

Heroes At Last!
Review
Personally I was a bit disappointed with Peter-vs-Sylar battle. Or how it all ended with one sweep of a sword. Or why Peter didn't fly by himself and explode like a human fireworks! But come to think of it, I reckon it is the best way to end this adrenalin-pumping-phenominal-hit. There's no other way to say that you're a hero if you do not know how to sacrifice for the sake of all. After all, they're big brothers and they love each other.
On an overall rate, I guess this one is the best TV series that had me hooked until its very end. But the good part is that we were left hanging with the cockroach thingey that we shall anticipate some evil to conquer Season 2. I just can't imagine the tiny Sylar cockroach to harm mankind. But what if it is Sylar, does it mean he can still do telekenesis. LOL! A weird super powered cockroach that will explode and harm the ants-kind!
Effect on me?
I will surely miss sneaking from my manager just to get home early every Tuesday. And not going to Wollies or roam around Sydney.. Too excited to download current Heroes episode and anxiously waiting for my bittorent to prompt that it has been completed. Heating dinner while I watch the latest installment of Heroes. Gawd, I will surely miss this! Not unless next season's just 'round the corner?

walking in the clouds
Extreme pressure has put me in a position of not talking to my roomies for a week. Not even have the time to cook my food and had to take crappy fast food take-aways. Enough with the whining and I'll just rave on the things that didn't made my week a complete hell.
1. I was able to go to Rhodes Shopping Center last Friday. And they close by 7pm. Lucky me! I was able to go around Ikea. Although I wasn't able to buy anything there, I still have my blank DVD-RW to put all my Heroes collection for archiving.
2. I was able to go to the grocery and buy a conditioner. I know I have enough share of a bad hair day each morning.
3. I was able to buy a set of badminton racket for $4.50. At least I can save a bit from renting it at $3.00 per day.
4. I was able to buy towel hang-ons so that I wouldn't squeeze my bath towel with my roomies anymore.
5. I was able to buy a new piggy bank. The last one I bought is already full. I really have so much fun putting coins on this tin can. The sound keeps me entertained.
6. I was able to rent The Holiday DVD. I know its not that good. But I really need a happy movie.
7. I was able to download Christopher Pikes' The Last Vampire. I also downloaded e-books software and text to speech. At least I wouldn't strain my eyes from reading on my Compaq's screen.
8. I was able to obtain a copy of top 100 books Australia loves. And to know that 10% of which I already have read and most of 'em I already have a copy. So its just a matter of reading it.
9. I was able to create my first DVD about Heroes with extra sections to show the casts and behind the scenes. I was tempted to put on a commentary from yours truly but I reckon its just a waste of time. But what the hell. I'll do that on my second issue. By the way, I am a frustrated actor-director. Memories of Palanggana awards is rushing back to me.
10. I already did my laundry and for the first time. I wasn't rushing on a Sunday.
I have come to a conclusion that my week is not about to end to a total misery. At last I can say that walking in the clouds is not bad at all. You just have to find the ray of light to keep you off the fog.
helluva week
>I'm good thanks!
>What are you're plans over the weekend?
>We might probably hang-out with friends and play some sports.. And yourself?
>We are going to have a barbie. It will be a nice weather this weekend..
Nuff with the everything-is-so-lovely conversation. My week sucks! I have to admit it. Site visits, 2-day audit, due diligence, under-staffing, grads!!!.. unpredictable managers, arggghhh... This is too much! I can't pretend everythin' is gooood. I'm tired of working under extreme pressure. Stress! It's killing me.
Well, weekend's my saviour. Time to unwind. Time to rewind, play, slow-motion and pause.. Then decide to fast forward. I can't take it! I realised my week really really sucks! Now I might think that weekend is a precious milestone for me. But then again, it comes too fast that I realise its already Sunday. What happened to my Friday and Saturday??
I don't wanna spoil it but there's so much to do that you end up nothing much has been done! I'm practically bored today. Roomies going somewhere. Friends out of sight. The only consolation is eating chicken here in Nando's to celebrate a horrific week.
I guess, there's so much that I've been missing these days. Sometimes I get sooo emotional that the very thought of it, would want me to jump to a plane and leave this country and go back home...
But I guess lets continue. Touch the remote. Play. And go back to reality. Continue with this pretentious life.. Guess I have to say Portuguese chicken is really gooood!

journey to pzone
$o, what is pzone? It's a place I've been after going to the station in blacktown. I've seen heaps of my kababayan in groups. Some in the parlor and some in the karinderya. Both groups are watching eat bulaga with Ai Ai performing. The feeling is surreal and I never felt like this since I came to Sydney six months ago. It felt really goood! It only means that I've been missing home implicitly.
so whats pzone then.. Go figure.
heroic anticipation

the cake thing that brought us together
The story is plain and simple. The client wouldn't give us any cake and we had to steal em..rather its Ricki who stole the pieces of cake until its last drop :) peace, Ricki! I appreciate what you did! We ended up laughing cause crumbs were on our work desk and our teeth have traces of the crime we've just committed.
And on the birthday of Siobhan, we went out and bought are lunch from Red Rooster. We treated her with a nice chocolate cheese cake for her upcoming birthday on the next day. And guess what, we didn't give the client any 'cos that's the way they treated us. Anyway, the two weeks have been really amazing and I thank both Ricki and Siobhan for job well done and for the best team I had since I arrived in Sydney. Cheers!
